Sarah B wants to know:
I have a 55 gallon tank and found a deal on some convicts. My tank is fully cycled and I now want to put some fish in there. The ones that I am looking at are about an inch long right now, and I am wondering how many I can buy and stock my tank with without messing with the ammonia and nitrate levels? Would like to know asap, as I plan on going to get them this afternoon. 10 points to the best answer! Thanks.

i would say start off with 5.
then gradually maybe go up a bit.
just monitor PH & ammonia levels.
have a look here for some tips
you might have to do a 20% water change every week.
< take a look there to.
Good luck with your new fish ! if you have anymore problems email me ;D!

I would recommend starting off with a small group of around six and then allowing them to pair off naturally. You should be able to have two pairs, the other two fish should be removed. Remember to provide plenty of hiding places and decor to break up the fish’s line of sight.
