Okay so I was thinking for my tank that has 2 Baby dinosaur eels but not sure which one would be better for them to live with. I know that cichlids are aggressive and I know that gourmis are peaceful too. Any suggestions on what kinds I should get?

I’d really suggest going with the Gouramis. There are some Cichlids that would be absolutely fine as far as aggression, but will stay small enough that the Eels (actually Bichirs) will be able to eat them eventually. Pearl Gouramis, any of the color variants of Trichogaster trichopterus (Gold, Blue, Opaline, Three Spot Gouramis), Snakeskin Gouramis, Moonlight Gouramis, etc. would all be fine with the Dinosaur Eels. However, keep in mind that Pearl Gouramis are far less belligerent towards similar species than are the others; avoid mixing Pearls with the other Gourami species. Along with the Gouramis, a nice school of larger Tetras (Black Skirt, Congo, Diamond, Red Eye, etc.) or Loaches (make sure you know how big they’ll be as adults– some get massive!) would work nicely. Keep in mind that the Dinosaur Eels will each get about a foot long, so you’ll need a BIG tank (preferably 5+ feet long) to keep them.
