i want to put planats in my convict cichlid tank but the store people say they eat them but i see people with them in there tanks on youtube
what plant can i put in that the cichlids wont fuck with lol i want the plants to stay alive and if u can tell me how to care for the plants to that would be nice.. Thanks

your convicts will obliterate any live plants you put in the tank. thats just what they do. it doesn’t hurt to try because the plants are cheap, but they will dig them up.

I don’t know anything about how to care for aquarium plants, sorry. I do know about convicts. They will most likely mess with any plants you put in the tank. They may not, it depends on your convicts.
I would go to the store and pick a really cheap plant, and put that in your tank just to try. While at the store, ask how to care for them.
It’s worth a shot, if you want plants in your tank.

me and my uncle set his convict tank up about a month ago with lots of rock caves and drift wood with moss growing on it. mos is about the only thing that is safe for them.. just get a bunch of rocks from a creek and build caves and what not and your fish will be happy breeders

Amazon sword plants grow like crazy..but you must have a grow light!!
These plants grow babies like crazy. That you can pluck off and replant in the gravel they grow like weeds.!!
I feed my cichlids romaine lettuce , then they leave my plants alone..
