I have a jewel cichlid and it looks like she is about to lay eggs. I don’t have any other jewel cichlids in that tank, but i do have other various types of African cichlids. If she does lay eggs will any of the other cichlids fertilize the eggs so there is babies?

yes cichilds will breed with others and the male will act in the same way another jewl would

THEY DON’T LAY EGGS SHE’S A MOUTH BROODER, AND SHE NEEDS A MALE TO COMPLETE THE SPAWNING.SHE WILL SPIT OUT BABY’S WHEN THEY ARE ABLE TO SURVIVE
