you may be able to get away with putting a krib or a dwarf cichlid in such a small tank but dwarfs are hard to care for and need a specific water and are highly sensitive to changes in it. Also, as with almost all cichlids, they can be territorial and will bully the frogs, possibly killing them

First off, a 10 gallon tank is way too small for a cichlid (unless it’s a dwarf cichlid- read up on the different types).
What most likely will happen is your cichlid will eat the frogs.
Also, cichlids (most) need a harder water than does your dwarf frogs.
All in all, I wouldn’t. Hope I could help, good luck!

NOTE: He has CLAWED frogs. Not the dwarves. These suckers grow to about the size of your palm and eat anything they can fit in their mouth. They are nothing like the dwarf cousins that are commonly seen in the trade. They are not passive to any small fish.
The frogs will probably grow out of a tank that small. You might want to look into a 30 gallon or so. You do not want to put anything in there remotely their size. I used to have two of them in a 20 gallon, and I tried adding fish. If they thought the fish would fit in their mouth, they would try it. If you add something, it would have to be large. And since large cichlids are usually very aggressive, its not a wise idea.

Ya um…. have you ever seen a fully grow african clawed frog ? They will need a HUGE tank when fully grown. That ten gallon can’t even house one of them let alone two plus a cichlid. As far as can a cichlid be housed with a clawed frog ? The answer is yes sometimes. The Cichlid would need to be bigger than the clawed frog and not aggressive enough to bother them, although I would be more worried about what a frog would do to the fish. They get to be about the size of a dinner plate and have huge claws that are capable of slicing fish. Are you sure you don’t have african DWARF frogs. Good Luck either way.

I’ve been keeping and breeding African Clawed Frogs for a while now and honestly they are seriously aggressive! Not only will they attack and eat anything (and I mean anything!) smaller than them; but they will attack and attempt to eat anything bigger than them.
I kept the frogs with some large goldfish and even though at the time the frogs were much smaller they soon managed to shred their fins before I took them out.
Proceed at your peril!
Best of Luck
