Can 2 breeding convict cichlids and 2 breeding firemouth cichlids be kept in a 45g tank peacefully?

    War. Probably epic. I wouldn’t do it without a good divider. The firemouths will loose.

    Maybe, if you have a lot of refuges the fish can hide in, but more likely the convicts will harass the firemouths to death. Convicts are usually smaller than firemouths, but they are much more aggressive when they are breeding (and they are breeding most of the time).

    It will become peacefull, after the Firemouths are dead.
